Use the needle size that is recommended for the yarn your up to 2 sizes larger to achieve the fabric desired. The scarves shown are 3-4" wide and 60-76" long. If you want a wider scarf, the length will be shorter. make adjustments to the width as shown in section 1 of the pattern. If you want a pointed end, increase on only one side.
