Jean Greenhowe's Scarecrow Family Patterns
Children (and adults) will love this irresistible family of dolls which are all easy to make from oddiments of double knitting yarn. There are seven dolls, covering three generations - Grandpa Septimus and Grandma Selina, then Sam and Sally, with their children Sonny and Susie (the twins) and the youngest member of the family, baby Sunshine. Each doll pattern comes complete with interesting detail and little creatures from nature. Baby Sunshine even has a small bird's nest pushchair with some knitted leaves providing a cozy coverlet.
Jean says: The figurines and other items shown in this booklet have been specifically designed as decorative mascots or ornaments for older children and adults. Once knitted, they have many components which are not meant to withstand rough handling. They are therefore unsuitable for babies and very young children.
