Here is a companion to the caplet, Pattern #48. This time we have points and an opening at the neck. The size you want is determined by how long you work the shoulders, so this pattern can be for a child to large adult. Of course, yardage adjustments will have to be made for the various sizes. If you want a turtle neck, workin the round from the beginning, rib for 6-8" and keep in the round for the rest of the pattern. Use up scraps, add color, texture and fringe. Work one poncho for warmth and others for fashion and fun. Use whatever chunky yarn you like. The yarn label will tell you the appropriate needle size. The chart shows how much yarn is needed for each gauge.
