Wire - Long Cast On Comb Ribber Wire Only

On Comb Ribber Wire Only. These wires are used exclusively on ribber cast on combs and have a curled bent end for removal and installation. The wire is used to "hang" a knitted piece for weight on to the cast on comb. Fit nearly all manufacturers knitting machine ribbers. Will not work with plastic bed machines or Passap/Pfaff. Used to attach the knitted piece to the cast on comb which provides tension on the knitted piece. This will also provide a consistent gauge in the knitted piece. A longer comb wire can be shortened to fit a smaller comb.

We have two sizes - 1) a 4.5mm size which is 36" long.  2) The bulky wire is for 9.0mm combs. The two will not interchange - the 9.0mm comb wire is larger in diameter and will not fit into the 4.5mm comb holes plus it is longer at 39". The 4.5mm comb wire is shorter and while it will fit into the holes, it will not extend all the way thru the 9.0mm ribber comb.
